Goodbye February...

We made a visit up to Grammy and Grandpy's in January ... No snow yet....
But they did manage to find some ice.....
 And of course eat it!
Natalie was even licking the frost off her gloves from the gates. So gross!
A little bit of frozen snow was fun to play on...
and so was Grandpy's spinning chair that he spun them all around on!
until he was more dizzy than they were.... :-)
And while Grammy was inside corrupting our pour Clara, playing poker, Nat and I went out for some fresh air... It was too nice out.. but COLD!
Since the horses were out, we snuck in the chicken coop... Natalie is saying "come here chickens".... She wanted to hold one SO BAD....
And she got one!  I didn't get a picture of her holding it since I was to nervous she would squish her if I didn't assist with the process... And while we were there we noticed some eggs had been laid. Natalie wanted to get those eggs for Grammy so off we went to get a container to put them into.  Grammy gave her a little snack to feed the chickens while we were in there.  Natalie was so excited....
She says as were walking back to the coop, "Mom, there going to be so excited to see me!"
And that they were... She got to touch the chickens, feed them and get some eggs... she was quite happy!
And back at home we had to take a new adventure to the park with our bikes.  It was a beautiful day and they had so much fun riding! It's so nice that they enjoy the same things together!
A trip is not complete to this park without a ride on the zip line....
Weeeee....!!! I couldnt' get a picture of Natalie since I didn't dare let go of her!
And now back to some cold weather and even a little snow!  And you would never guess what the first thing is they did.... eat it!
Natalie is dodging some of Daddy's snow balls here....
And a little pose for the camera gal....
So you have to take notice of the difference between the photo above and below... Here Natalie is looking up into the sky at the snow ball that is about....
to hit her in the face... Lucky Daddy didn't get 2 inches closer... She is eating some of the splatter of it here!
"why do I have to stop eating the snow?"
Well... then a little ride with it will do...
 Calkin Snow Angels!

The girls think it's pretty funny that Pip can carry Nat around.  She is pretending to be her baby here.
And having lots of fun before her nap!
And during this nap, Clara, our very crafty little girl, wrote Daddy a nice little note about how much she loved him... then drew him a pretty picture :-)  She is growing up WAY to fast!
 Just some more silliness....
And back to a beautiful day today...

Sisters sweet little hands holding one another....
a fun little race down the hill!

And some chalk while we enjoy the brisk sunny day....

:: Pippy's 5! ::

Whooie Pants is back and up to some mischievous stuff. He had a fun little note for the girls from Santa ;-)
Tis' the Season... While Natalie napped, Clara helped decorate the tree and drink some hot chocolate.  We could have NEVER let Natalie help with this, or all our ornaments would be in pieces... maybe next year... I hope!
But she sure does enjoy fun little projects, especially if she can destroy her master piece and not get in trouble for it.
Clara always has the patience to finish it, then doesn't want to destroy it!  Even if it's marshmallows!
But she took the plunge and gobbled them up :-)
Our advent calender has had a do all sorts of fun things.  On this day, we had to have dinner by candle light. Which was a blast... Natalie liked to make the flame "dance" by blowing on it constantly and Clara had a heart attack every 30 seconds since it would almost go out!  But at the end of dinner... Daddy had a fun idea and roasted some mini marshmallows for them over the flame...
Oh... Christmas tree... Oh Christmas tree....
Happy Birthday to Pipster, as Natalie says... She got to wake up to this in the living room....

a fun note from Whooie....

and a pancake and candle breakfast!
After school we took her out to lunch.  Here she is looking at a card Nat made for her with stickers.
Then back home to open her presents that Nana left for her.  Nana put them in the laundry room before they went on vacation, and every time she went to put her shoes on she would say... "I know what that is. It's a Lalaloopsy because that's exactly what there box's look like." She could not wait to open that present!!!
Clara is all ready for her Birthday bowling party!!!  I think it was a real hit....
Here they all are, trying to figure out who's next!
It took us almost 2 hours to get through 10 frames!  I never thought we would finsish... I think half the reason it took so long is because Natalie's ball would get down the lane in approx... 2 minutes.  Here are all the kids lined up waiting to see it hit those pins...
CHEESE!!!  Natalie was loving life with Trent and his french fries!
Pizza time....

Desert time.... Then off to the arcade for some pure chaos!
Last week one of Clara's friends, Clara (same name) came over to make and decorate ginger bread men.  They had lot's of fun!!!
There waiting patiently for Clara's brother to get here so they could decorate.  It was quite funny.  They call her Clara C. in class.  So when they were over, whenever Greyson would want her attention he's say... Clara Calkin.  There were alot of Clara Calkin's shouted out through the house.

Playing in the bath together!
SNOW!!!!!  Natalie couldn't wait to get outside to make a snow angel... It's the first thing she did once she hit that ground.
And Clara taught her out to eat it... There was never really a moment I can remember where there wasn't snow in there mouth.
And Daddy got started on the snow man right away!
Such a cute little snow angel!
And here there getting big hand full's of snow to eat...
It was so nice to be able to play in the snow...
Apparently Mr. snow man has good flavor!
Natalie thinks so too!
See all this snow... She has a mouthful!
While Daddy and Pip went to dance class... Natalie and I made sugar cookies.  It was an interesting experience.  I know.... How could this sweet little face be any trouble, right?

This is what she did most of the time.  Messed with spatula and mat. The other part of the time, she was poking the cookies...

Poor thing... After lots of scolding, she shed some tears and took a little rest on the counter.
We got invited over to Nana and Papa's for the Christmas ships, and Santa was on them!  Before we got to go out to watch them, Pip was being silly.
And doing puzzles with this handsome man...
Until it was time to go out and check for Santa.
But the Wizard of OZ was on TV, and Nat is infatuated with witches right now, so this was something she could not get enough of. "The witches with green makeup on there faces and hands and say ahhh...ahhh...ahhhh.." She tells me this every night at bed time.
Waiting so patiently for Santa
And giving out smooches to kill some time...

We love our Nana and Papa....

It's those Witches again....
Can you see me???

Snuggle time...
Here they are!!!!!
Papa made a very important phone call to the Bremerton yacht club.  He had them say something very special to the girls.... "HO HO HO Merry Christmas Clara & Natalie. My little elf Whooie Pants has been keeping his eyes on you and tells me if your naughty or nice.  I just want to remind you that Santa likes his cookies with nuts, just like your Papa!"  Thanks Papa for making Santa ships so special!!!
