Playing catch up!!!

Not to long ago, we decided to screw up Grammy and Grandpy's plans for the weekend and head East! And boy are we glad they let us screw them all up!  We had so much fun, once we got there, hanging out and relaxing! Thanks for having us over!!!
As soon as we got there, we laid Natalie down for a nap.  Clara got to go outside and climb all over the big rocks out front... That kept her entertained for awhile!!!

And before we knew it, it was dinner time.  Grandpy read a story... and off to bed they went... Now it was time for us to eat!!!

Since the Herzogs don't get to indulge in Japanese food often, we brought it to them... Some homemade spicy tuna rolls, tataki and a noodle salad...

Grandpy took us fishing on the Columbia river and Clara caught her first fish! And it was no little trout!!

 FISH ON!

 WHOOO HOOO!!!!

 Good Job Clara!!!

And while we were fishing, Natalie and Grammy got to hang out for the afternoon!!!

Natalie made sure Gus always had some books and coasters on his bed.

There were many adventures Clara and Grammy had together... One of them was harvesting food from the garden...

 Checking on the horses....

And making sure they had snacks! This was to distract them from there next move, which was going to check on the chickens.  Clara got to give them feed and food scraps... and.... get there eggs they laid for Grams!  She LOVED IT!!!

Clara couldn't get enough of these chickens... but I'm sure the chickens got enough of her!!!

Grammy took the girls on LOTS of quad rides... This was another favorite for both of them!

And at the end of the day... This is was this kids face looked like... PURE FUN!!!!

After lots of playing outside, we had an indoor activity...  Clara got to make Cinnamon rolls with Grammy, and lucky Clara got to do alot of it!

And she did a WONDERFUL job... She is so good at following instructions!  We couldn't wait to eat them.  I can't believe I didn't get a picture of them once they were out of the oven!
 Grandpy was getting Natalie's tummy!

Seriously... Could you ask for a better dog...! These children tortured him!!!

Deer... Lots and lots of Deer right off there porch!
WE had a wonderful time and can't wait to be back there for Christmas!!!!!!!

Back at home..... Taking pictures of our little smiley pants!!!  Clara had taken a nap, SHOCKING, and Natalie and I went outside to play...  We don't get to do that to often!

Clara was throwing her Cheerios out of our front window to the birds... They needed lunch to I guess.

And while Clara was calling the birds with excitement, Natalie was plugging her ears.... Guess she had enough...!  Natalie is learning so many new little things, sooo quickly!!

We got to hang out with Baby Mila for the Seahawks game.  Clara could NOT get enough of here! Auntie Kerina even let her feed her!

And hold her!

She sure does love her lots....

Back to school!!!

Clara finally got to go back and see all her friends from last year!  She had a lot to tell me when she got in the car... Like what friends came back, and what friends were missing... and that some of them were sad and scared to be there, just like she was a long time ago.  And when I picked her up, Mrs. Marsh reported that Clara was a new kid compared to last year!  She said she help several kids with some of there work and was more than happy to help the new kids get started.  We are very proud of her!
But before we went to school... it was time for a little photo shoot.

 And some SILLY faces!

Clara was very excited to see Mrs. Marsh and kept telling me... "after this picture, it's time to go!"

 But....

I got to sneak a couple more in!

After school we got to play outside in the SUN!  At school, Clara was the calendar girl today... She was glad to report to the class that it was Wednesday and SUNNY!

After some good ol' sliding... We walked around the front of the house and were surprised to see... Daddy pulling in the driveway!

This little gal doesn't love her Daddy... HA!  She bolted right down the hill towards him... and as soon as she could speak to him.... "UP, UP, UP"

So away they went, back up the driveway... BYE!
